1. Q : How do I get started with AsseTrax ?

 A : Firstly, sign up for an account. After that, you will reach to a page where you can
download AsseTrax. Get the activation code that you receive in your email ready before you
install AsseTrax. The installation process will ask for this activation code. After you have
successfully installed the software, you need to restart your computer to allow the
application to initialize. You will be able to login at Assetrax website to view your account
information.
   

2. Q : What is minimum system requirement to run AsseTrax agent ?

 A : The system is designed for Microsoft Operating System. However it is designed to use
advanced features available under.NET Framework 3.5. The system will prompt you to download the
FREE upgrade from Microsoft server. Your computer must at least has Pentium 233MHz, 64MB RAM
and 2MB hard drive space.
   

3. Q : Why AsseTrax is important to me ?

 A : AssetTrax is important for Laptop/PC owner who are worried that their Laptop/PC maybe
stolen. The system enable the tracking of the stolen laptop. This system will help user to
track their stolen laptop/PC the moment the stolen computer is connected to the internet.
   

4. Q : Who is a typical AsseTrax user ?

 A : The typical user of AsseTrax are public user and company who owned the laptop/PC. Police
also can use this system to track the stolen laptop/PC.
   

5. Q : How does AsseTrax works ?

 A : After you download AsseTrax, the application will identify unique identification for your
laptop. This unique identification will be sent to AsseTrax server as part of your Ownership
registration process. When your laptop is stolen the system will track your laptop unique
identification and start tracking the laptop movement. You can work together with the Police
to get back your laptop and catch the thief.
   

6. Q : What type of laptop can I track?

 A : Our current version is designed for Microsoft Operating System. It could be Microsoft
Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.
   

7. Q : Why do I need to upgrade to Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5?

 A : AsseTrax is designed to maximize the advanced features provided by Microsoft .NET
Framework. It provides features that are not available in non .NET environment.
   

8. Q : Why do I need to add more information during laptop registration ?

 A : In case there is a court case where you need to prove your ownership of the laptop it is
better to provide the judge any extra evidence of your ownership. The extra evidence will help
you win the case easily. This could include physical tagging, physical labels, seller
information and receipt scan that you upload into the server. The unique identification
provided by AsseTrax will also be a strong evidence to win your case.
   

9. Q : What should I do when my laptop is stolen?

 A : Go to the nearest Police Station and make your lost report. Make sure you keep the report
reference number. After that LOGIN to AsseTrax server and mark your laptop as stolen. From
then on the system will track and historise your IP addresses and location. Work with the
Police to track the location of your laptop.
   

10. Q : Why do I need to provide Police Report number?

 A : When your laptop is stolen, AsseTrax requires you to lodge Police Report. This is a
serious case where we will start tracking the laptop and getting the address of the laptop. We
want to make sure we do not violate someone else privacy.
   

11. Q : Do I need to make Police Report when my laptop is recovered?

 A : Yes. This will enable the Police to close the case. AsseTrax will also stop tracking the
recovered laptop based on your report.
   

12. Q : Can I track my laptop if I am not registered?

 A : No. AsseTrax can only track your laptop when you register with the system. If your laptop
is stolen without registration with AsseTrax, the system do not have your unique
identification to enable tracking.
   

13. Q : How do I retrieve my account password back ?

 A : On the login page, click Forgot your password ? link and follow instruction given.
   

14. Q : Why I did not receive my activation code ?

 A : Common reasons you may not receive the activation code include: 1-* Your email address
was entered incorrectly 2-* Your email "inbox" or account is full 3-* Your Internet Service
Provider (ISP), email service or application, or personal computer protection software has
categorized the email as SPAM, or blocked it altogether. Please check your SPAM folder and
allow email from "assetrax.mailservice@gmail.com"
   

15. Q : How do I purchase Pin Number ?

 A : LOGIN to AsseTrax and click 'Payment' tab. Click 'Renew', 'Top Up' or 'Activate' button
followed by 'Purchase Pin Number'. Choose desired value and click 'Submit' button followed
by 'Continue' button. You will be redirected to our payment gateway (iPay88). Once your
transaction approved, system will automatically top up your account and update your expiry
date.
   

16. Q : What happen after 30 days FREE trial ?

 A : If you want to continue the service, go to 'Payment' tab and make payment. Else, Assetrax
will no longer track your connection log.
   

17. Q : How much is the service cost ?

 A : 1 year @ USD25 (RM60), 2 years @ USD40 (RM100), 3 years @ USD60 (RM150)
   

18. Q : How do I register my laptop or computer?

 A : You can register your laptop or computer by downloading the AsseTrax software and install
it inside your laptop/computer.
   

19. Q : How do I uninstall AsseTrax?

 A : We make it hard to uninstall AsseTrax to prevent thieves from uninstalling it in case of
theft. Please contact our Support Team for uninstall instructions. We are currently working on
a method to enable you to uninstall the software directly from your account.
